This scheme is available to the Borough’s older (over 70s) and disabled residents whether in owned or rented property.  The service offered, at a subsidised rate (£16 an hour, free in certain circumstances, excluding materials) includes basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical work such as fixing door bells, putting up shelves, installing spy holes/door chains, unblocking sinks, replacing tap washers, draught proofing, etc. For details call 020 8583 3878
